Heavy monsoon rainfall and flooding across parts of Bangkok since Friday, 25 September have affected road access and disrupted some packing, collection and delivery services. Santa Fe Relocation Thailand is monitoring conditions and has taken precautionary measures to protect our facilities, shipments and clients’ belongings.
Warehouse and stored shipments
No floodwater has entered our Bangkok warehouse, and inspections of the warehouse and storage areas have identified no water damage to stored household goods, personal effects or commercial shipments. Minor building leaks during the heavy rainfall have been monitored and managed, with no impact on stored shipments.
Packing, collections and deliveries
Between 25 and 28 September, severe flooding in some areas of Bangkok has made certain roads and locations inaccessible or difficult to reach. Some packing, collection and delivery activities have consequently been adjusted or postponed according to local conditions and safety considerations. Our operations teams continue to monitor access and coordinate directly with affected clients to manage changes to their schedules.
Customs and port operations
Special public holidays have been announced for 28 and 29 September in Bangkok and three neighbouring provinces, affecting government services. Primary customs cargo clearance and port operations remain open, although reduced staffing is causing significant processing delays. Clients with shipments awaiting clearance should allow for possible changes to onward transport and delivery schedules.
Customer support and operations
The safety and security of shipments remain our priority for both corporate and private clients. Goods stored at our Bangkok warehouse remain dry, secure and unaffected by the flooding, and our teams are managing each shipment individually where transport or customs processing has been disrupted. Affected packing, collection and delivery activities will resume when local conditions allow, with clients and Santa Fe offices kept informed of changes affecting individual shipments or planned services.
