How employers structure expat packages and manage short-term work abroad affects both their mobility programmes and the employees they support. Santa Fe Relocation is co-organising the FEM Geneva Chapter Meeting on Thursday, 5 November 2026, bringing HR, Global Mobility, Reward and Payroll professionals together to discuss these practical decisions.
Hosted at the French-Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Thônex, Geneva, the meeting will explore “Stay Compliant, Stay Competitive: What’s Next for Mobile Talent”. The interactive panel will focus on expatriate reward packages and the requirements employers need to consider when sending employees abroad for short-term work.
Designing expat packages that work
The reward discussion will explore how employers design and structure expat packages, balancing cost, fairness and attractiveness. Corporate speakers will share approaches to meeting business needs and employee expectations, with examples to help participants assess their own programmes.
Managing short-term work abroad
The compliance discussion will examine A1 certificates and the status of the proposed reform of EU social security coordination rules. Speakers will consider what potential changes could mean for business travellers and posted workers, and the implications for employers’ processes.
The panel will also address prior notification through Switzerland’s 90-day registration process and France’s SIPSI declaration. Participants will explore who needs to register, when and how to do so, which exemptions may apply and common pitfalls in managing these processes.
Meet the panel
- Suzy Williams, Compensation & Benefits Expert, Audemars Piguet, Switzerland
- Justin Szwaja, HR Lead (fractional), CEO of Impactify and former Head of Executive Compensation at Galderma
- Coline Duval, Immigration and Global Mobility Lawyer, Valoris Avocats, France
- Ralf Pawolleck, Managing Director, Tax and Global Mobility, Valoris Advisory, Switzerland
Frank Jura, FEM chapter lead, will moderate the discussion. There will be time for questions and shared experiences, followed by drinks and networking with peers from the Geneva mobility community.
At Santa Fe, we support clients with the practical requirements of Global Mobility and the experience of the employees they relocate. Co-organising this discussion gives employers an opportunity to examine reward and compliance questions with specialists and peers and consider how these apply to their own programmes.
