Singapore enhances the SG Arrival Card with more language options and passport scan autofill

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has enhanced the Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) with a refreshed interface, additional language options and improved passport scan autofill functionality to make submissions more seamless and user-friendly for travellers.

From 26 August 2026, travellers can access the enhanced SGAC experience on the ICA website. The enhancements will also be introduced on the MyICA Mobile app.

Who will be affected?

The enhancements are relevant to travellers who are required to submit the SGAC before arriving in Singapore, including:

  • Foreign visitors travelling to Singapore
  • Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents arriving by air or sea
  • Long-Term Pass holders, including Work Pass, Dependant Pass, Long-Term Pass and Student Pass holders, arriving by air or sea
  • Employers and mobility teams supporting international employees and their dependants travelling to Singapore.

Background

The SG Arrival Card is an electronic arrival card that travellers are generally required to submit within three days, including the day of arrival, before arriving in Singapore. The SGAC can be submitted within three days, including the day of arrival, through ICA’s official channels at no cost. Foreign visitors should note that the SGAC is an arrival declaration and does not replace any visa requirements that may apply.

Impact

The enhanced SGAC is intended to simplify and speed up the submission process. It will support up to 19 languages, compared with 12 previously, and will feature a refreshed interface for smoother navigation. Passport scan autofill, which was previously available to foreign visitors, is also being extended to Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents and Long-Term Pass holders as an additional option alongside Singpass information retrieval.

Key enhancements:

  • Up to 19 language options, including seven additional languages: Bahasa Indonesia, Dutch, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Filipino and Italian.
  • A refreshed, more user-friendly interface designed to provide smoother and easier navigation.
  • Expanded passport scan autofill functionality to help travellers complete selected information more quickly.
  • SGAC submission remains free of charge through ICA’s official SGAC e-Service and MyICA Mobile app.

Date of implementation

26 August 2026 (enhanced SGAC available on the ICA website; MyICA Mobile app enhancements to follow)

Santa Fe recommendation

Employers and mobility teams may wish to share the enhanced SGAC features with their existing Singapore work pass holders and dependants. Travellers are reminded to submit the SGAC within three days, including the day of arrival, and to use ICA’s official channels, where submission is free of charge. Those who have already submitted their SGAC are not required to submit a new one following the introduction of these enhancements.
