Santa Fe Thailand supports animal shelter in Ang Thong

Practical skills and materials can make a difference beyond our daily work. In Thailand, our colleagues put both to use to support an animal shelter in Ang Thong, building animal furniture and delivering food and supplies to help care for its dogs and cats.

On 8 September, our Thailand team made the four-hour round trip to deliver donations, including 30 kg of dog and cat food. Our warehouse colleagues used wood already available to build a cat climbing structure and dog beds, while employees contributed funds and supplies. The team sorted and prepared the items with care, focusing on what would be useful to the shelter and the animals in its care.

The initiative reflects our approach to sustainability through action that responds to local needs. Using available materials to make useful items supports resource-conscious working, while employee donations and volunteering extend our contribution into the communities where we operate. Here, our team’s skills in planning, handling and transport helped bring that support to an animal shelter further afield.

Thank you to Seenuan and our warehouse colleagues for preparing the donations and building the furniture, to everyone who contributed funds and supplies and to our volunteers who made the delivery. Thanks also to Oat for coordinating the initiative, Katarina for her support and the colleagues who kept daily operations running while the team was away. Each contribution helped turn an idea into practical support for the shelter.
