Santa Fe wins three awards at the 2026 FEM APAC EMMAs

Santa Fe has won three awards at the 2026 FEM APAC EMMAs, recognising the work of our International Moving teams, our company-wide approach to sustainability and the contribution of Ruth Lockwood. Announced at the Amara Hotel in Singapore on 3 September 2026, the three awards recognise service delivery, organisational change and professional leadership across Santa Fe. Each reflects what matters to our clients and customers, including reliable support, practical progress on sustainability and trusted relationships. The FEM APAC EMMAs celebrate achievement across the Global Mobility and international HR industry. This year’s entries covered 21 categories and were assessed by an independent panel of 38 industry experts and academics from across the region.

International Moving company of the year

Santa Fe International Moving Services was named International Moving Company of the Year for its entry, Navigating life’s transitions. The award recognises the work of our International Moving teams and partners to support people through one of the most personal and complex parts of relocation. Every move requires careful planning, clear communication and practical support. Our teams coordinate each stage to give corporate clients the visibility they need and help relocating employees, their families and personal customers feel informed and supported from packing through delivery.

The entry also demonstrated how circular economy principles are shaping our approach to International Moving. By using resources more responsibly and building sustainability into service delivery, we can reduce environmental impact while maintaining the care, quality and reliability our clients and customers expect.

The independent judging panel commented: “An outstanding multi-pronged approach in advocating for the circular economy has shaped how Santa Fe International Moving Services navigates the sustainability value chain and enhances mobility outcomes for its clients.”

Best Global Mobility sustainability initiative of the year

Santa Fe Relocation Services also won Best Global Mobility Sustainability Initiative of the Year for its entry, Empowering sustainability at every level. The initiative focuses on turning sustainability ideas into consistent action across the business. Our teams identify opportunities locally and develop them into practices that can be shared and applied across Santa Fe. This includes reducing waste, increasing material reuse, making more responsible choices available throughout service delivery and working with partners to support progress across the Global Mobility industry.

For corporate clients, this work supports the sustainability priorities within their Global Mobility programmes. For relocating employees, their families and personal customers, it provides practical ways to reduce the environmental impact of a relocation or move. Sustainability becomes part of the service experience and the decisions made throughout it.

The independent judging panel commented: “Santa Fe has demonstrated a credible mechanism for turning sustainability ideas into organisational change. The successful scaling of local initiatives into company-wide practices with tangible benefits demonstrates both innovation and a strong culture of shared responsibility.”

Outstanding contribution to Global Mobility

Ruth Lockwood, Head of Strategic Sales, South East Asia, received the Outstanding Contribution to Global Mobility Award in recognition of an exceptional career spanning over three decades. Ruth has lived and worked in 11 countries across three continents, including several hardship locations. Since joining Santa Fe in October 2004 as Head of Operations in Hong Kong, she has helped establish operations in Taiwan, Dubai, Korea and South Africa and supported the integration of acquisitions in India and Europe. That experience now informs her work in commercial and strategic relationship development from Singapore.

Throughout her career, Ruth has taken the time to understand what clients need, identify where their experience can improve and turn those insights into practical action. She shares best practice across Santa Fe to strengthen processes and service delivery for relocating employees and their families. She has also championed women in business, mentored colleagues across the industry and supported charitable and community initiatives.

The independent judging panel commented: “FEM is delighted to present the 2026 EMMA for her Outstanding Contribution to Global Mobility in the Asia Pacific region to Ruth Lockwood! Ruth’s career story is a reminder that global mobility has always been about much more than moving people from one country to another. It is about trust, relationships, opportunity, talent and people. Ruth is someone who has retained a fabulous sense of adventure, she is an influential leader and mentor, a long-standing advocate for women in business and someone who has genuinely lived the challenges that she works so hard to solve. She is thoroughly deserving of this most prestigious and important accolade.”

Recognition shared across Santa Fe

These three awards recognise the people and practices behind the experience Santa Fe delivers. Our International Moving teams provide the coordination and care people need during a major life transition. Our sustainability initiative turns ideas from across the business into practical improvements for the organisations and people we serve. Ruth’s leadership shows the value of experience, trust and a deep understanding of clients.

This recognition belongs to colleagues across Santa Fe whose commitment makes that experience possible. It also reflects the contribution of our clients, customers and partners. Their feedback, collaboration and trust help us improve our services and develop solutions that respond to the priorities shaping Global Mobility.

We thank the Forum for Expatriate Management and its independent judging panel for this recognition. Congratulations to Ruth and everyone across Santa Fe whose work contributed to these three awards.
